Reps
Privacy policy
Last updated August 23, 2026
The short version: your diary lives on your phone, and it only leaves if you turn on sync, into your own backup space. The usage data and crash reports we collect are anonymous and can’t identify you. There are no ads, we never sell data, and Reps doesn’t track you across other apps.
What stays on your phone
Your diary is the app: activities, entries, feelings, notes, people, and photos. All of it is stored on your device, in the app’s own storage. You don’t need an account to use Reps, and Practical Focus has no way of reading anything you write there. If you delete the app without a backup, this data is deleted with it.
Sync and your account
Backup and sync comes with Reps Pro and is optional. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address, your name, and a user ID, and use them only to know which data is yours. If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, we only ever see the relay address Apple creates for you. Your account and synced entries and photos are stored with Google Firebase (Firestore), on servers in the United States, and stay there while your account exists. Google acts as our processor and may not use your diary for anything of its own; Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. Until you sign in or buy on the web, Reps knows you only as a random ID that isn’t tied to your name or email.
Payments
Reps Pro is sold on the App Store, on Google Play, and on our website. We never see or store your card number on any of them. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions across platforms: it receives the purchase record (which plan, its price, and its renewal status) and an ID so your plan follows you between devices.
On the App Store and Google Play, the store handles payment and we receive only the receipt or purchase token. On the web, payment is processed by Stripe, and checkout collects your email address, used for receipts, renewal notices, and the link that manages your plan. For web purchases, that email is information that can identify you; we and RevenueCat hold it to deliver what you paid for, and for nothing else.
Analytics
Reps uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous usage analytics on every platform: which features get used, on which app version, so we know what helps and what doesn’t. It never collects personal information, identifiers are anonymized twice before they reach anyone, timestamps are rounded to the hour, and IP addresses are never stored. Nobody, including us, can trace this data back to you.
Crash reports
When Reps crashes, or when your reps stop reaching your backup, the app sends a report to Sentry so we can find the bug. A report holds the error, the place in the code it came from, the app version, and a random ID for the device. Reports are stored on servers in the United States, and Sentry acts as our processor.
A report never holds anything you wrote: no entries, notes, feelings, people, photos, or your email address. We can see that three devices hit the same bug. We can’t see whose.
What we never do
We don’t sell or share your personal data. There are no ads, no data brokers, and no advertising trackers. Reps doesn’t follow you across other apps or websites, and your diary is never used to train anything or to market to you.
Keeping and deleting your data
On your phone: remove single entries in the app, or delete the app to erase everything local. In the cloud: delete your account from the app’s settings, and your synced data and sign-in record are removed. If your subscription lapses, sync stops but nothing is touched on your phone; your cloud backup is kept for 90 days so you can come back or export it, then deleted. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription: that happens where you bought it, see the terms.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time: email support@practicalfocus.app. Practical Focus is based in Brazil and follows the LGPD; if you’re in the EU, your GDPR rights work the same way, including the right to complain to your local data authority.
Children
Reps isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has been using sync, email us and we’ll delete the account.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything meaningful shows up in the app’s release notes.
Who we are
Practical Focus is a one-person studio in Florianópolis, Brazil, run by Arthur Floriani. For anything about your data: support@practicalfocus.app. The rules for using Reps live in the terms of use.
That’s everything. There is no fine print.
